【Caixin News】 “Based on coverage area, Starlink has become the world’s largest 4G coverage provider. We have connected over 16 million independent users, with 10 million active users monthly. It is expected that by the end of 2026, the number of monthly active users will exceed 25 million.” On March 3, Michael Nicolls, Senior Vice President of Starlink, announced this during a keynote speech at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.
Starlink is a satellite internet project under SpaceX, the commercial aerospace company founded by Elon Musk. It began deployment in 2020 and has now become the world’s largest broadband satellite constellation, with nearly 10,000 satellites in low Earth orbit, capable of providing hundreds of Tbps (terabits per second) of broadband capacity to users in almost all regions worldwide.
