Odaily Planet Daily News: U.S. Treasury Secretary Yellen stated that Trump plans to raise the global general tariff from 10% to 15%, and the move is likely to be implemented within this week. In an interview with CNBC, when asked about the timing of the tariff increase to 15%, Yellen responded, “It’s very likely to happen sometime this week.” Last month, after the Supreme Court invalidated most of Trump’s previous tariff systems, he implemented a 10% general tariff. Yellen pointed out that the authorization period for the new tariffs is only 150 days. She said that during this period, the U.S. Department of Commerce will seek to use other legislative measures to restore the tariff system that was in effect before the Supreme Court ruling. (Jin10)
