A ballistic missile launched from Iran and heading towards Turkish airspace, after passing through Iraqi and Syrian airspace, was promptly intercepted and destroyed by NATO's air defense and missile defense forces stationed in the Eastern Mediterranean, reports the Turkish Ministry of Defense.
