The Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) has opened a public consultation on proposed revisions to its rulebook to align with the UK's Treasury new Overseas Prudential Regulation Regime (OPRR). The revisions aim to clarify how UK banks and investment firms should handle risk exposures to overseas entities, including credit institutions and secured bonds, under the new framework. The deadline for public feedback is April 2, 2026, and the proposed rules are expected to come into effect on January 1, 2027.
