On Friday, U.S. airline stocks declined. As of press time, United Airlines (UAL.US) fell over 7%, Delta Air Lines (DAL.US) dropped more than 5%, and American Airlines (AAL.US) declined over 5%. In the news, the U.S. State Department approved the evacuation of non-essential personnel and their families from its Israel mission on the 27th. U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Tom Nides, stated that if Americans want to leave Israel, they must “leave today.” Countries like Canada have recently advised their citizens to leave Iran immediately. With the U.S. Navy’s largest aircraft carrier, the USS Ford, arriving in Israel on the 27th, analysts believe the risk of war between the U.S. and Iran has sharply increased.
