Odaily Planet Daily reports that on March 2, Forbes released the top ten billionaires worldwide for March 2026. Elon Musk’s net worth of $839 billion has set a new record, making him the first billionaire in history to surpass $800 billion. Since May 2024, Musk has maintained his position as the world’s richest person.

Notably, thanks to the soaring valuation of his companies, Musk’s wealth increased by $64 billion in the past month. Since the beginning of 2026, his total net worth has grown by over $100 billion, once again setting a new wealth record. In October 2025, he became the first person in the world to reach a net worth of $500 billion. By December, he had surpassed $600 billion and $700 billion. In February 2026, his net worth first exceeded $800 billion. Currently, his wealth gap with the second-richest person, Google co-founder Larry Page, is over $500 billion.
