According to Gate Market Data, the technology-heavy Nasdaq Index led the decline in U.S. blue-chip stocks in pre-market trading. Ipek Ozkardeskaya of Swissquote Bank stated that investors are weighing the risk of inflation shocks triggered by Middle East conflicts. Rising oil prices could boost inflation expectations and bond yields, putting pressure on the valuations of companies like Nvidia, Microsoft, Apple, and Alphabet. Nvidia fell 1.6% in pre-market trading, while Alphabet and Apple declined 2.7% and 1.2%, respectively. Nasdaq futures dropped 1.5%.
