Gelonghui, February 28 — National Bureau of Statistics: By the end of the year, the total employed population nationwide was 725.04 million, with urban employment accounting for 475.35 million, representing 65.6% of the total employed population. Throughout the year, 12.67 million new urban jobs were created nationwide, an increase of 110,000 compared to the previous year.

The average annual urban surveyed unemployment rate was 5.2%. The urban surveyed unemployment rate at the end of the year was 5.1%.

The total number of migrant workers nationwide was 301.15 million, a 0.5% increase from the previous year. Among them, 180.06 million worked outside their hometowns, a 0.8% increase; 121.09 million worked locally, a 0.1% increase.
