U.S. Military Deployment Upgrades: Risk of War with Iran Rapidly Increasing
The Trump administration's military deployment in the Middle East has reached a new high in recent years. According to the well-known U.S. news outlet Axios, the likelihood of war with Iran has been raised to an extremely high level, with a 90% chance of large-scale military conflict breaking out within the next few weeks. This potential conflict would involve thousands of strikes against Iran's military and political targets, making it unprecedented in scale.
U.S. Military Buildup in the Middle East
Currently, the U.S. has deployed nearly one-third of its global naval forces in the Middle East, reflecting the tense situation. In the past 24 hours alone, the U.S. has sent about 50 fighter jets to the region, including F-35 stealth fighters, F-22 Raptor fighters, and F-16 fighters.
The U.S. military aviation forces assembled on the Middle Eastern battlefield include hundreds of fighters, two nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, and over 150 military supply and transport flights. The deployed fighters include advanced aircraft such as F-35, F-22, F/A-18, and F-15, along with aerial refueling and early warning aircraft for tactical support. The U.S. Navy has also deployed approximately 33 ships in the region, including aircraft carriers, destroyers, and attack submarines, with a total of up to 600 cruise missiles onboard.
Strategic Significance of the Iran Conflict
The series of military deployments by the U.S. targeting Iran in the Middle East indicates that Washington is preparing for a potential large-scale military operation. In terms of equipment scale, technological level, and investment, this would be one of the largest, most advanced, and most destructive military actions in modern history. Such a deployment scale is usually only seen during comprehensive military campaigns against major adversaries, highlighting the importance of Iran issues in U.S. national strategy.
