200 merchants listening sounds like a lot, but on-chain data can't be fooled. How many actually have transaction volume? This is a typical pump-and-dump setup by the whales, waiting for the retail investors to take the bait. Base's infrastructure is indeed solid, but the problem is that no one is really using it. The ecosystem support is clearly lacking, I saw this coming a long time ago. Rekt is doing real work, but the reality is that most projects can't escape the curse of "concept > reality." I suffered heavy losses on such L2s last year, a deep lesson haha. Having a solid infrastructure does not equal project success. If this gap widens, Base will eventually be caught in a trap, but I still don't have the courage to buy the dip. This is the real on-chain story. Grand narratives are everywhere, but where is the actual trading depth?
