Dear friends in the plaza, I couldn't sleep early in the morning, so I want to share a real user story.
I live and do business in Taipei, and I often need to transfer funds to suppliers and friends in Mainland China. The most frustrating part has always been the banks—fees of 3-5% and waiting several days for the funds to arrive. I've tried many stablecoin solutions on public blockchains, but either the gas fees are exorbitant or the transaction speed is unstable.
My experience after using Plasma has been completely different. Last week, I transferred several USDT to suppliers and friends in Mainland China—three transactions of $3000, $800, and $200. All of them had zero gas fees, with the fastest arriving in seconds and the slowest just 1.2 seconds. This is a huge change for me. Without the fee pressure, the transfer experience is incredibly smooth, and I also save on time costs.
Currently, Plasma's price is stable around $0.141, with a daily trading volume of $60 million and a market cap of $260 million. I personally started adding to my position last year at a cost basis of $0.65. Although I am still holding, the practical advantages of this use case have made the potential of this project much clearer to me.
Honestly, in my eyes, Plasma is like a handy tool for cross-border payments—it has a clear positioning, solves real pain points, and the experience is tangible. For those who need to make frequent cross-border transfers, this solution can truly save time and money.
