Recently, the trend in the blockchain circle has been quietly changing. People are moving away from solely chasing speed and hype narratives, and are starting to ask a more practical question: Is this really useful? Can it be implemented?
The Dusk project happens to be at this turning point. It didn't choose to oppose regulation, nor did it pretend these issues don't exist. Instead, it directly incorporated privacy and compliance into the protocol layer. It may sound conservative, but upon reflection, this is actually a very pragmatic approach.
For example, in terms of privacy. Dusk's approach isn't to make everyone completely anonymous—which would be impossible to bypass regulation. Instead, it finds a balance between "what needs to be disclosed" and "what needs to be protected." This way, institutions are willing to use it, regulators can accept it, and neither side is offended.
Finance is a special sector. Unlike other industries, it can't just innovate freely. Laws, regulations, privacy, and trust are all intertwined. Projects that truly want to grow big don't try to bypass these complexities; they seek to solve them.
From the perspective of ecosystem development, we can also see this long-term mindset. It's not about rushing to create concepts or attract traffic, but about patiently building infrastructure, refining developer tools, and finding real application scenarios. This approach is slow but solid.
When blockchain truly matures, it won't be about TPS or flashy parameters. It will be about whether it can connect with the real world. From this perspective, Dusk has found a promising direction.
