How to troubleshoot when the SMS verification code does not arrive
We often receive inquiries from users about issues where the SMS authentication code does not arrive during verification. This guide introduces the main causes when SMS does not arrive and how to address each situation.
Three Points to Check First
Check Mobile Signal Strength
If you are in an area with weak signal or out of service, SMS authentication codes may be delayed or not received at all. Please try moving to a location with better signal reception. After that, reapply for the code.
Check Device Security Settings
Security apps or antivirus software installed on your mobile phone may be blocking incoming messages. Open your security app and temporarily disable the SMS blocking feature, then try obtaining the authentication code again.
Smartphone Storage and Balance
If your device’s storage is full or your mobile balance is insufficient, you may not receive the SMS authentication code. Ensure there is enough free storage on your smartphone and check your mobile balance beforehand.
Other Causes and Solutions When SMS Does Not Arrive
Regional Restrictions on SMS Service
Depending on your country or region, the SMS sending service of this platform may be temporarily unavailable. In such cases, please try again after some time.
Multiple Requests in a Short Period
Clicking the “Get Code” button repeatedly within a short period may cause the system to limit requests. Click the button only once and wait at least 15 minutes before trying again.
Congestion or Disruption of the Communication Gateway
If the SMS sending gateway is congested or experiencing a temporary outage, there may be delays in delivering the authentication code. Please check with your mobile carrier or try reapplying after some time.
Sorting into Spam or Junk Folder
In rare cases, the SMS authentication code may be automatically sorted into spam or junk folders. Please check the contents of your spam folder in your device settings.
If the Issue Persists
If you have tried all the above solutions and still do not receive the SMS, it is possible that the SMS sender of this platform is blocked by your carrier or device. In that case, please contact our customer support for assistance.
