#美国贸易赤字扩大 At 2 a.m., I received an urgent call for help from a friend—his phone was full of voice messages: "I went all-in with 10,000 USDT at 10x leverage, and it blew up after dropping only 3%. What's going on?"
Looking at the trading record, he was trading with 9,500 USDT in a single position, with no stop-loss set at all.
Many people treat full position as a symbol of "strong risk tolerance," but in reality, it's the opposite—improper full-position trading can blow up even faster than partial positions. The issue is never the leverage itself, but the position size.
**Position Size Determines Life or Death**
Comparing a 1,000 USDT account: using 900 USDT at 10x leverage, a 5% adverse move wipes it out; but if only 100 USDT is used at 10x, it takes a 50% move to blow up. My friend directly invested 95% of his principal with 10x leverage, and a slight retracement led to liquidation.
**How to survive longer with full position? Three ironclad rules**
**First: Do not invest more than 20% of your capital in a single trade** — For a 10,000 USDT account, no more than 2,000 USDT at once. Even if you misjudge the direction and set a 10% stop-loss, you only lose 200 USDT, which doesn't hurt the main capital, leaving room to recover.
**Second: Limit single-loss to 3% of total capital** — For example, with 2,000 USDT at 10x leverage, set a 1.5% stop-loss in advance, risking exactly 300 USDT, which is 3% of total funds. Even several consecutive losses won't damage the core capital.
**Third: Avoid trading during sideways markets, and don't chase profits after gains** — Only trade breakouts; ignore tempting sideways consolidations. After entering a position, never add more—control your emotions.
**The true nature of full position: It's a fault-tolerance mechanism, not a casino**
The original purpose of full position is to leave room for volatility, but only if combined with light position sizing and risk control. A follower once blew up his account every month, but after following these three rules, his account grew from 5,000 USDT to 8,000 USDT in three months. He said: "I used to think full position was playing with fire, but now I understand it's about staying steady."
In the crypto world, it's not about who earns the fastest, but about who survives the longest.
