Baseapp's product strategy is undergoing a noticeable shift. From its original social attributes to a platform centered around trading functionalities, this evolution is worth paying attention to. The introduction of copy-trading mechanisms and leaderboard designs by the platform has made the entire ecosystem's competitive atmosphere more intense — no longer just simple social interaction, but aligning more with the operational logic of exchanges.

Currently, every platform is competing for users' trading needs, and the race for alpha reflects the market's desire for trading depth and trading tools. The transition from community-driven to trading-driven demonstrates Baseapp's renewed understanding of user needs. This kind of product evolution is not unique in the Web3 ecosystem, but its execution approach and pace are indeed reshaping people's perceptions of the boundaries of social trading platforms.

Social-driven trading, this trick is now overplayed. I see Baseapp is also following the old path... As soon as the leaderboard appears, competition heats up. Who still cares about community atmosphere?

Honestly, I've seen this pattern of shifting from social to trading too many times. Every time, they claim they're different, but in the end, it's all the same... Copy-trading is truly the optimal solution for harvesting retail investors. Once the leaderboard is up, human greed is exposed, it's so clever.

Basically, the copy-trading approach can make money, and the social layer will eventually have to be shed.

To be honest, the copy-trading leaderboard is just maximizing human greed.

Basically, it's just another social wrapper exchange. Now everyone wants to do copy trading, but it doesn't seem to have anything new.
