Storage sector has always been jokingly referred to as the "cold bench" in the industry, but with the recent update to Walrus Protocol v1.38.3, it seems this perception is being rewritten.

This upgrade mainly targets AI Agent application scenarios. We know that AI workflows have extremely high requirements for data reading—any slight congestion in the pathway can trigger latency issues. Walrus’s optimization this time is akin to smoothing out the entire network's "ski slopes," pushing bandwidth configurations to the limit. Considering the explosive growth expected in the AI market by 2025, this kind of infrastructure upgrade is a necessity.

The most direct improvement is reflected in data I/O efficiency. Previously, reading and writing data on the chain was as laborious as pushing objects on flat ground; this update has streamlined the process to a new level. Actual tests show that read/write speeds have increased by 70%-80% overall. Whether storing AI models or handling large files, users can feel a significant speed difference. Data uploads are almost instantaneous, with no more of the previous "lag" sensation.

It is worth noting the performance of cold storage. Traditionally, Cold Storage (cold data storage) is associated with access delays and slow responses. However, supported by the Red Stuff algorithm, Walrus enables cold data to maintain high-speed responsiveness. To put it differently—even if data is "frozen" in low-temperature storage layers, retrieval speeds can still be maintained at rocket-level rapidity.

The signal sent by this upgrade is very clear: true competitiveness lies in being able to support the next-generation application demands while others are still optimizing infrastructure. For participants holding $WAL, this performance upgrade may just be the starting point of acceleration.

A 70-80% increase sounds good, but can storage really turn around? I'm skeptical. --- Cold data can also rocket at high speed, that's a bit exaggerated... Let's see how it performs in practice. --- Is this $WAL update a real necessity or just another wave of cuts? It depends on the actual data from the mainnet. --- AI Agent explosion is expected to increase by 1, but infrastructure vendors have always been eliminated by the next wave... --- Why is the Redstuff algorithm so amazing? It seems every new technology is hailed as a savior. --- Alright, finally someone is working on storage, but where did all those previous promises go? --- Read/write speed increased by 70%? How bad were the previous versions? Why are they only optimizing now? --- Can this upgrade bring any real benefits to small investors, or is it just another institutional feast? --- Signal theory, I hate this rhetoric the most... The ones who truly make money never rely on signals.

Cold storage so fast? That's a bit fierce, catching up with hard drives.

70-80% acceleration? Now the storage sector really can't sit still --- Cold storage can still accelerate rapidly; the Red Stuff algorithm is quite something --- AI Agent is about to explode; infrastructure first, got it --- While others are still laying the groundwork, Walrus is already building the high-speed rail --- Is $WAL really about to take off this time? --- From lagging to instant, such a huge difference in experience? You have to try it --- The cold bench has heated up; finally, someone is taking storage seriously

70-80% speed increase? Damn, these numbers are crazy Cold storage can still accelerate at rocket speed, haven't seen that before The storage sector has truly turned around

70-80% increase? I have to test it myself to believe it; this number sounds too smooth.

70-80%? We need to see if that number can be maintained. Cold storage turnaround sounds interesting.

Is the cold bench turning around? A 70-80% acceleration can indeed make a difference, but it seems the market hasn't reacted yet.

A 70-80% increase, this time storage is really going to turn around. Wait, the Red Stuff algorithm sounds a bit unfamiliar, is this a new thing? I've been bullish on $WAL for a while, just waiting for this wave of infrastructure to catch up. Cold storage can still rocket? That's interesting, worth paying attention to. The storage track this time is really not just talk; solid infrastructure is needed to support the AI explosion.

70-80% increase? That's what really matters. Storage is finally no longer lying flat.
