2025 has already passed the halfway point, and the landscape of cryptocurrency exchanges has become even clearer. In terms of spot trading, the top-tier players remain quite stable. Binance still holds an overwhelming lead, with trading volume five times that of the second-ranked platform. Bybit, Gate, and Crypto.com occupy the second to fourth positions respectively, with relatively manageable gaps among them.
Looking at derivatives trading, it's a different world. Binance, OKX, Bybit, and Bitget dominate absolutely, with OKX performing especially well in this segment.
Interestingly, the performance of different exchanges in spot and derivatives trading shows a clear divergence. Some platforms excel in spot trading, while others are more competitive in leverage and futures. This differentiated market distribution reflects not only each company's strategic focus but also the diverse needs of users—some seek stable spot trading, while others prefer the thrill of high leverage. Although the overall market structure appears concentrated, each has its own ecosystem.
