Here's the paradox crypto's about to wrestle with: all these centrally-issued assets—stables, RWAs, tokenized everything—they're running on decentralized rails. Sounds good in theory, but it exposes a real problem. Without genuine crypto-native assets gaining meaningful adoption, today's L1 blockchains are basically competing with one hand tied. The infrastructure's there, but the foundation feels incomplete.

Basically, the current L1s are working for centralized assets but have no food to eat — I've seen this plot before, to be continued.

Basically, it's putting the cart before the horse—centralized assets are moved onto the chain to play decentralized, isn't that self-contradictory? L1s really need to think about what their existence means.

Centralized assets running on a decentralized track, to put it simply, are traditional finance disguised in Web3 clothing. The supply and demand curves have long indicated that this thing lacks a truly crypto-native soul.
