Many illnesses actually originate from long-term tension and repression. When things are always kept inside the heart, a person will become anxious and fearful, even if nothing has happened, they will constantly experience fear and internal conflict. When the qi is disturbed, the blood vessels, organs, muscles, and bones will all be affected, and the body will naturally start to develop problems.
Eating too much can overwhelm the body; thinking too much can also burden the mind. Overthinking damages the spleen and stomach most, and since the spleen and stomach are closely connected to emotions, poor emotional states weaken the spleen and stomach, which in turn worsens emotions. Over time, people become sensitive, suspicious, easily panicked, and trapped in catastrophic thinking, unable to live well themselves or love others properly.
