The six-year journey of gasoline prices in Turkey is quite remarkable. In 2020, the price was approximately 6 TL per liter, rising to 8–9 TL in 2021. The next milestone occurred in 2022, when it jumped to the 20–23 TL range. By 2023, it fluctuated between 22–30 TL, and in 2024, it showed a rapid increase reaching 40–45 TL. In 2025, it rose to the 50–55 TL level, and in January 2026, it is around 52–54 TL. These figures vividly demonstrate that gasoline prices have increased more than ninefold over approximately six years, highlighting the extent of inflationary pressures.
