Talking about the fan coin track, it might be one of the most worth-watching directions among altcoins this year.
The 2026 US-Canada-Mexico World Cup is set to kick off on June 11, and this is the first time in World Cup history that three countries are jointly hosting, making the hype unprecedented. Speaking of fan coins, there was a surge during the 2023 European Championship, but then it went into a long washout phase, which has lasted nearly two years now. Because of the prolonged washout cycle, most fan coins currently have relatively low market caps. Interestingly, from the monthly chart, the recent performance of coins like CHZ, SANTOS, LAZIO, and PORTO has been noticeably different— they haven't been falling like other altcoins in the market but instead have been consolidating sideways, indicating that funds are quietly accumulating. As the leader in the fan coin track, CHZ has already broken out of its trend, and following the trend with other coins is just a matter of time.
History is instructive. During the 2022 World Cup, fan coins saw significant gains, and this year's World Cup rise is highly probable. From the market perspective, many fan coins already have funds entering early. The monthly chart still shows these coins in the bottom zone, which provides us with a good opportunity to position.
Previously, I mentioned other altcoins in the plaza, which follow a short-term strategy of taking profits at around 20%. But the fan coin track is different; it can be developed into a mid-term holding strategy with a high probability of doubling.
A small reminder: fan coins have relatively low liquidity and market caps, so they are not suitable for large all-in investments. When liquidity picks up later, it might be the window for some big players to unload. Therefore, managing the amount of capital is still very important.
I don't dare to go all-in, just small amounts for mid-term play.
Doubling is nice, but the market maker's dump is right in front of us, don't become the bagholder.
CHZ has already started to move, this wave is indeed quite interesting.
Let's wait and see, no rush.
Should I jump on this CHZ wave? I'm a bit conflicted.
The low liquidity is a bit of a blow; I'm worried about getting caught.
Wait, will history really repeat itself? It doesn't seem that simple.
Honestly, it still depends on when the market makers step in. It's probably too early to buy now.
As for the liquidity of fan tokens, I have to be honest—small investors easily get trapped, and I've seen many tricks from the big players.
Doubling? I think it's uncertain. Let's wait until the World Cup hype really heats up before talking.
This time, I'm playing it safe and not going all-in. Last time, I got cooled down.
When did CHZ break through? I didn't notice.
Wait, with low liquidity, you still want to play for doubling? Isn't that gambling?
The leading coin CHZ has moved; whether others follow is uncertain, afraid of getting caught in a trap.
The monthly bottom sounds good, but small-cap coins are easily hammered down. Better to try with a small amount first.
Are fans' coins about to be cut again in this wave?
