A major failure in the prediction market occurred. An AI oracle on a certain prediction platform mistakenly judged the market for "Will MetaMask launch a token within the year" as "YES," while the official MetaMask wallet team has never announced any token issuance plans. This erroneous settlement directly caused significant losses for users who bet "NO"—their funds were redistributed to those who bet "YES." This is not a minor issue. The current prediction market has attracted widespread attention. The incident highlights the risks associated with the reliance on oracle accuracy in decentralized prediction platforms, as well as the vulnerability of user assets when such systems fail. Similar settlement errors could occur again in other prediction markets, and the community should remain vigilant.
It's just AI nonsense, and users end up paying the price
MetaMask didn't issue a token, but it still declared YES, it cracked me up
That's why I never touch prediction markets at all
