Recently, an important warning to share — the number of illegal counterfeit websites and APP platforms that have been coordinated and eliminated this year has reached 1,418, a 1.7-fold increase compared to last year. How exactly do these scam websites deceive people?

The common trick is to promote "investment and wealth management" or "recharge and consumption," gradually tricking your money in. They are especially sneaky, with servers often hidden overseas, and domain names frequently jumping around to avoid detection.

The most heartbreaking part is that these scammers also love to impersonate legitimate financial institutions — for example, falsely claiming to be a major securities company or a large bank to lure you into downloading fake APPs. Just 61 counterfeit financial institution websites have been caught, all using the names of reputable institutions you can recognize.

So everyone, be sure to verify official channels when downloading APPs, and don't be fooled by any sweet talk about investment and wealth management. When encountering suspicious websites and APPs, the first reaction should be to verify on the official website or official App Store. Protecting your money is really important.
