LIST | 8 African Startups Graduate from LISK Cohort 2
The Lisk Incubation Program, working with AyaHQ, has successfully concluded the Cohort 2 Founders Summit held on August 30 2025 in Accra, Ghana, bringing together founders, investors, and ecosystem players to demonstrate how blockchain is being applied to real-world African challenges.
A total of 8 startups graduated from the program’s second cohort:
The teams showcased solutions spanning
with founders illustrating how blockchain can streamline payments, digitize supply chains, and improve service delivery beyond the hype.
Since the program launched in 2024, AyaHQ said it has seen a 50% increase in incubated startups, now supporting founders across 34 African countries – one of the fastest growth trajectories among blockchain incubation hubs on the continent. The partnership with Lisk is built around a shared mission to accelerate blockchain adoption in Africa by offering mentorship, infrastructure, and capital access to early-stage teams.
The Accra event highlighted this momentum, showing how Africa’s Web3 builders are addressing issues such as financial inclusion, data transparency, and community-driven economies.
The event also featured investor panels, discussions on Africa’s emerging funding pipelines, regulatory conversations, and hands-on workshops focused on building scalable applications using the Lisk SDK.
The program offers up to $20,000 in grants per project by graduation, along with continuous mentorship, a structured curriculum, and access to a strong network to help startups thrive.
Participants will also receive ongoing support from Lisk and the opportunity to secure up to $100,000 in additional funding to grow their ventures.
Stay tuned to BitKE updates on Web3 updates from across Africa.
