A miraculous business: Rent computing power for less than $100 and mine Bitcoin worth 270,000 dollars
【Blockchain Rhythm】On December 19th, an interesting mining story spread through the community. An independent miner rented computing power on NiceHash for less than $100 and surprisingly mined the 928351st Bitcoin block. Sounds unbelievable, right?
The key numbers are as follows: this mining effort yielded a block reward of 3.152 BTC, which was worth approximately $271,000 at the time. In other words, an investment of less than $100 resulted in over $270,000 in profit.
This incident reflects a phenomenon — the threshold for Bitcoin mining isn’t as high as it seems. By renting computing power, even individual miners have a chance to participate in the competition. Although this was a lucky case, it also shows that in the current mining ecosystem, innovative participation methods are indeed breaking the traditional monopoly of large miners. However, risks should also be considered, as most attempts may not yield such substantial returns.
I have to try it quickly, although there's a high chance I'll lose money haha.
This guy really got insanely lucky. Is renting hash power on NiceHash really that profitable?
So this is the real way to get rich overnight, way more reliable than trading cryptocurrencies.
But this example is too risky; 99% of people following the trend will only lose everything.
Why is such a good opportunity never meant for me, sigh.
