Cryptocurrency payments meet charity: Two major platforms team up to open donation channels
【Crypto World】Two platforms recently announced an interesting collaboration — using cryptocurrencies for charitable donations.
One handles the underlying infrastructure, managing wallet creation, currency exchange, and withdrawals; the other focuses on front-end experience, managing the donor interface and the backend system for non-profit organizations. The division of labor sounds very clear.
Why do this? Essentially, it aims to solve two pain points: first, the complicated process for ordinary people to donate cryptocurrencies; second, after receiving donations, charitable organizations still have to go through the hassle of converting to fiat currency, especially during donation surges (such as during a hot event or special day), which can easily cause issues in the backend.
Through this cooperation model, donors can directly donate the coins they hold, and charities can more smoothly receive the corresponding fiat currency. Behind the technology, transaction clearing and risk control are also guaranteed. In a sense, this is an exploration of the practical application of crypto assets in the public welfare field — truly leveraging Web3 technology to serve real-world needs, rather than just staying at the conceptual level.
