Recently, there is a quite noteworthy underlying technology trend—the Allora Protocol mainnet has officially launched.
What this project is doing is pretty interesting. In simple terms, it has built a decentralized AI network, but instead of outputting traditional historical data on-chain, it provides predictive data streams.
The difference lies here: traditional oracles mainly feed off-chain data to the blockchain, usually factual data that has already occurred. Allora's system is different; it generates targeted predictive Oracle Feeds through collaborative reasoning among distributed AI nodes, directly supporting real-time decision-making needs for DeFi derivatives, lending protocols, smart contract trading, and other applications.
What does this mean? Application developers no longer have to passively wait for data but can receive reference signals that are closer to future market trends. From a technical perspective, this represents a new approach to the oracle problem—upgrading passive data relays into active predictive services. Of course, the accuracy and incentive mechanisms of decentralized AI reasoning still need market validation, but this direction indeed opens up some new possibilities.
