Last week, there was a lot of new activity in the DeSci space.
The Bio protocol announced it would be integrating with a leading public blockchain, signaling that their decentralized science infrastructure is beginning to expand to multiple chains. Meanwhile, Aubrai’s BioAgent tool received a major upgrade—it now supports advanced research features, which should save researchers a lot of time.
CompoundVC has also been active, hosting a Biotech 2.0 seminar focused on how biotechnology and blockchain can be combined. In addition, Abu Dhabi held a DeSci-themed event, showing that Middle Eastern capital is becoming increasingly interested in this area.
There have also been technical developments—a new framework was proposed by the community, specifically designed to evaluate benchmarks for scientific AI performance. For teams looking to use AI in scientific research, these standards should be quite valuable.
All in all, the momentum in the DeSci sector continues to rise.
