Ripple CEO says how much Bitcoin will be worth by the end of 2026
Source: PortaldoBitcoin Original Title: Ripple CEO says how much Bitcoin will be worth by the end of 2026 Original Link: https://portaldobitcoin.uol.com.br/ceo-da-ripple-diz-quanto-o-bitcoin-valera-ate-o-fim-de-2026/ Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse made a rather optimistic prediction for the price of Bitcoin during a debate with Solana Foundation President Lily Liu and the CEO of a leading trading platform, Richard Teng, at Blockchain Week in Dubai.
According to Garlinghouse, Bitcoin should reach $180,000 by the end of 2026. If this projection comes true, it would represent an appreciation of about 100% over the current price of $93,000.
The Ripple CEO stated he is more optimistic about the future of cryptocurrencies than in previous years. He pointed to improved regulatory clarity in the United States as an important factor for this optimism.
Garlinghouse highlighted the change in attitudes among traditional financial institutions, citing Vanguard as an example, which recently opened up to cryptocurrencies after years of criticizing digital assets.
He also pointed to the growing adoption of crypto ETFs, noting that currently only 1% to 2% of the total ETF market is made up of crypto products. The executive predicts that this percentage will increase over the next year as institutions increase their holdings in the sector.
The other panel participants avoided giving a more direct price projection. The CEO of a trading platform did not set a target but said he expects prices to be higher than they are now, emphasizing that his focus is on long-term growth rather than short-term volatility.
Meanwhile, Liu also avoided giving a direct price projection but stated that Bitcoin will likely be above $100,000.
