Balancer protocol is moving forward with plans to return $8 million to affected users following that massive exploit earlier this year. The DeFi platform got hit for around $128 million total, and while that's a brutal number, recovering even a portion shows they're committed to making things right. This kind of post-hack fund distribution doesn't happen overnight—there's legal stuff, tracking wallet addresses, verifying claims. But getting 8 mil back into circulation? That's meaningful for the folks who took losses. Still a long road ahead, but it's progress in an industry where exploits often end with radio silence.
At least they didn't shift the blame, which is pretty good in the crypto world; most protocols have long disappeared without a sound.
I feel there will be further legal pump, this matter is far from over.
