French President Macron stated that France and Europe will not accept peace that is predicated on Ukraine's Capitulation, as it would encourage Russia and threaten the security of the entire Europe.

He made the above statement during a live broadcast on RTL radio on the morning of the 25th.
"We hope for peace, but we do not accept a peace achieved through capitulation. This is a peace that Ukraine cannot accept; it would allow Russia to act at will and threaten the safety of all of us," emphasized Macron. At the same time, he described the peace plan proposed by Trump as "a step towards peace."
Macron added: "There are some aspects of the plan that are worth discussing, negotiating, and improving."
He stated that the negotiations in Geneva allowed Europe to discuss issues directly relevant to Ukraine.
Macron explained: "Regarding the question of whether 'Ukraine and Europe must accept this plan', the answer is: no. Only the Ukrainians can decide what concessions to make on issues involving their own territory, such as language and constitution. As for the frozen Russian assets, they belong to Europe, and only Europe has the right to decide how to handle them."
He reiterated that the only pending issue at present is whether Russia is ready to accept a lasting peace agreement. Therefore, Ukraine and Europe must receive reliable security guarantees.
