Tonight's data preview: How will the initial jobless claims patchwork affect the market?

The initial jobless claims data that has accumulated due to the government shutdown will be released tonight, but the data has obvious limitations. The unemployment applications from federal employees during the shutdown period are not completely accounted for, and this is a patchwork of data that is a month behind, only offering partial reference.

If the unemployment figures exceed expectations, the market may bet on the Federal Reserve easing, and risk assets may rise slightly; however, the M stock market will be closed tomorrow, which may suppress liquidity and lead to a cautious outlook. The market is unlikely to trend in one direction, and it is more probable that there will be a rise followed by fluctuations within a range. Risk management is essential, and one should avoid blindly chasing highs.
