Should we give up on Alpha for points?
This month's airdrop has left people feeling disheartened. So far, I have received 3 airdrops, totaling only 100u. Based on the previous strategy of earning 16 points daily, the loss is around 3-4u, so the current earnings are just enough to cover the wear and tear, and forget about making a profit.
I believe that most of my friends are similar to me, so we have started discussing whether to leave Alpha. However, I think that it is not necessary to leave Alpha immediately. But indeed, at this stage, it is not worth most people making it their main job to grind points. It is more suitable to treat it as a product for taking advantage of.
In fact, Alpha also has its own cycle: the previous few months were the "dividend period," where anyone could make money just by claiming airdrops. Now in this stage, it is clearly a phase where profits have hit rock bottom and everyone is complaining.
Following this logic, it is highly likely that the next thing to happen will be: more and more people will resign one after another, unable to keep up, feeling stressed, and simply withdrawing from the scene. After this wave of departures, the number of participants will decrease, competition pressure will ease, and the earnings allocated to each account may have a chance to rise again.
On the other hand, as the overall liquidity gradually recovers and the market's certainty about the general direction strengthens, it will become easier for project parties to raise funds. More teams will be bold enough to issue tokens and go online, and the demand for new coins on the Alpha channel will be reignited.
So my current thinking is to not heavily invest in this period, but not completely exit either. When most people can’t hold on any longer and leave the market, it might actually be the right time to re-enter and seriously engage.
