Abstract generation in progress

When changing to a new mobile phone, you're probably wondering how to set up Google authentication (2FA). In fact, it's easier than you might think.

There are two methods.

Method 1: Via QR Code (Recommended)

  • Select "Account Transfer" → "Export" on the old device's Google authentication.
  • Scan the QR code displayed on the new device.
  • This is complete. The backup codes will be transferred as well.

Method 2: Manual Entry of Recovery Key

  • Open Google authentication on the new device
  • Press the 「+」 button → Select manual input
  • Enter the private key saved during backup

Important Points

Before initializing the old device, make sure that the authentication code is generated correctly on the new device. If it does not work, there may be a possibility that the time synchronization is off, so please try to synchronize.

Just to be safe, make sure to keep your backup code in a secure place. It is the only way to recover if you lose your device.
