Honeypot scam is back in action🍯 The scheme is simple: the channel starts promoting a "miracle-coin", promises multiple profits, everyone rushes to buy on the DEX exchange... and then they can't sell. Liquidity evaporates, money goes into the pockets of scammers.
The channel "Antonov's Strategy" (74.7K subscribers) is already on the third coin scamming the audience with the token EGL under the guise of EigenLayer. Two more channels - "Elliott's Crypto" (18.2K) and "Project | 1.618" (16.7K) - are also promoting EGL, but these are different scam coins with identical tickers.
Liquidity in EGL from "Elliott's Crypto" is already 468K$ (yesterday it was 500K+). The first purchase was at 248K$ - it seems that the scammers themselves injected money for the pump. Next on the list are victims with tens of thousands in losses.
How not to get caught:
✓ Use HoneypotIs - if it shows "HONEYPOT DETECTED" - this is a scam
✓ If the service cannot verify - it is also a scam
✓ Rule #1: never fall for the calls to buy coins on a DEX exchange. This is ALWAYS a scam.
✓ Check large purchases through PoocoinApp - you can see who bought in first.
In a bull market, scammers use Telegram Ads to promote new channels for pennies and scam "fresh blood" again. Your money - your responsibility!
