The price of ETH is set at 5000 USD after the Dencun upgrade of Ethereum.

What a pump! The highly anticipated Dencun update of Ethereum is ready to be deployed on the mainnet at epoch 269568, after successfully activating on all test networks.

According to the Ethereum Foundation, the Dencum upgrade is expected to take place around 2pm UTC. The enthusiasm for this hard fork has driven the price of Ether above $2,500 and up to $4,000. Now traders have their eyes set on ETH reaching $5000 after the upgrade.

And why not? Personally, I believe we will see ETH brushing against that figure sooner than many think. This update is not just a simple patch - it is a revolution for L2 solutions! I have invested almost all my savings in this because I am convinced that low fees will attract a wave of new users.

Of course, one must always be cautious with such drastic changes. Many experts on Discord and Twitter are raving about Dencun, but I've seen too many "revolutionary upgrades" amount to nothing. The market is still the market, and whales continue to do what they want with the price.

Proto-danksharding sounds great on paper, but until we see it functioning at full capacity, I'm not jumping to celebrate. Cheaper transactions should drive adoption, but they could also benefit only a select few projects while the rest suffer.
