During my participation in the Boundless Summit in Seoul, I had the privilege of engaging in face-to-face discussions with the team of the Boundless Network, delving into their advocated concept of a "verifiable internet." After the meeting, I also attended a gathering co-hosted with Kaito, where I enjoyed delicious berry pancakes and gained a lot.
Now, the team has gone to Singapore to prepare for Token2049, while I have整理ed my two weeks of practical experience on the Boundless mainnet. I believe that sharing personal experiences is the most persuasive way.
What impressed me was not the grand vision presented by the team on stage, but the true story of an 18-year-old college freshman. He connected the idle GPUs in his dormitory to the network and earned over 300,000 reward tokens during the mainnet testing phase. On the day of the mainnet launch, he staked all his rewards and has since become one of the top validators.
Inspired by this, I immediately returned to the hotel and transferred the data validation task at hand from self-built scripts to the Boundless platform. The first thing I tried was a circuit for deduplication and consistency verification from multiple data sources. After submitting the order, I received the results in less than 9 seconds. Although there was a slight increase in latency during peak hours, as long as I chose the nodes specified in the Service Level Agreement (SLA) when placing the order, the efficiency of data validation improved more than twice compared to before.
To ensure the reliability of the results, I conducted small-scale tests at fixed intervals for seven consecutive days. This practice not only validated the performance of the Boundless network but also gave me a deeper understanding of the potential of a verifiable internet. Through this firsthand experience, I witnessed the immense potential of blockchain technology in enhancing data processing efficiency and credibility.
The experience from the Seoul summit to the actual testing has filled me with anticipation for the future of a verifiable internet. It is not just a technological concept, but an innovative practice that promises to change the way we interact with the digital world.
