Damn! When I started investing in crypto a few months ago, I was scared to death. I had barely €100 and thought it was impossible to do anything with so little. But after several setbacks ( and a few successes ), I've learned a few things that I want to share with those who are like I was at the beginning.
The platform: the first headache
I tried several platforms and, damn, what a mess at first. The complicated interfaces drove me crazy. In the end, I found one that seemed simpler for beginners like me. Watch out for the fees, as some will rip you off without you noticing. Look for one with a clear interface and low fees.
You don’t need a whole Bitcoin (thank goodness)
When I started, I thought I needed to buy whole coins. What nonsense! You can start with €20 in Bitcoin or €15 in Ethereum. I divided my first €100 among four different cryptos and was able to see how each one performed.
Staking: My Great Discovery
This was my most pleasant surprise. I put a small part of my cryptos in staking and, although I didn't get rich, seeing how they generated something extra while I did nothing was amazing. It's like having a mini garden that grows by itself.
Diversify or Die
My worst mistake was getting excited about a shitcoin that promised to make me a millionaire. I put almost everything in there and... it dropped by 70%. Since then, I diversify my investments and sleep more peacefully. Don't do what I did.
Take advantage of the promotion, but with a critical eye
Platforms always have some promotion to attract new users. I got about €15 in a crypto just for signing up and making my first purchase. It's not much, but when you start with little, these small boosts help.
Look, nobody gets rich overnight. Starting with little has its advantages: you learn without risking too much. I now regularly invest small amounts and am building up little by little.
And a final piece of advice: don't believe everything you read out there. Not even me. Do your own research before putting your money anywhere.
