From Phishing to Cryptocurrency Trading: Unveiling the Meme Frenzy Behind the BNB Chain Hacker Incident.

It all started like this:

The official Twitter account of BNB Chain was hacked around midnight on October 1, 2025. The hacker used the account to post about 10 phishing links, disguised as airdrop promotion activities, luring users to connect their wallets and steal funds. The BNB Chain team and CZ quickly responded by warning users not to click the links and collaborated with the X platform to suspend the affected accounts. Ultimately, BNB Chain regained control of the account within a few hours.

Event summary:

Hacker's Action: The hacker used the stolen $8000 to pump a meme coin called "4", and then sold everything after making $4000.

The community's counterattack: The BNB Chain community did not sit idly by, but collectively purchased "4" meme coins, causing its price to soar over 500% in a short time.

This is seen as a mockery of the hacker, as the community turns the hacker's plans against him in this way.

Finally: CZ expressed appreciation for the community's response, calling it the most interesting counterattack, a recognition of the community's unity and resilience.

By the way, some netizens mocked that if the hacker had stolen from the Chinese official Twitter, it might have been more than just a few k USD 😂😂
