🚀 I just stumbled upon the #Gate广场新手村第二期 event and couldn't help but share my "unexpected wealth script" — it's my first time experiencing what it means to "close all positions with shaky hands and laugh while crying" 😂
Time rewind to the Dogecoin surge in 2021
At that time, I was still a "conservative" who only knew how to buy BTC and ETH. One night, while browsing Gate, I saw a coin called SHIB in the MEME zone (yes, that Shiba Inu!). Its price had a string of zeros after the decimal point. I thought to myself: "Anyway, I'll just treat it as milk tea money; if I lose, I can accept it!" I casually invested $200 and closed the app to sleep...
The next day I woke up and my phone was blowing up—friends were frantically asking me: "Did you mention buying SHIB before?!"
I opened Gate and saw the account balance: $8200! I was stunned on the spot and had to log out and back into the app three times to confirm I wasn't seeing things...
But the drama came: I actually trembled and clicked "close all positions"!
At that time, I was afraid of profit retracement, and as a result, SHIB rose 30% half an hour after I sold… My mood was like the roller coaster in the picture 🎢 But when I think about it, turning $200 into $8000+ is already the most magical return in my life!
💡 This experience taught me three things:
1️⃣ Small funds trial and error MEME coins are not gambling, but an exercise in sensing market sentiment;
In a bull market, "selling too early" is the norm; protecting profits is more important than dreaming of getting rich.
3️⃣️ In Gate's MEME area, it's really possible to catch the era's dividends! (Later, a similar logic was also replicated on GPT and BRETT~)
