#PI# 1) What is Fast KYC?

Pi Network has launched a fast KYC feature integrated with AI. This feature allows new users (pioneer users) and non-users to join the Pi mainnet ecosystem more quickly by speeding up the identity verification (KYC) process.
2) Activate wallet in advance:
Traditionally, standard KYC requirements involve at least 30 mining sessions, which leads to delays in joining the ecosystem. Fast KYC eliminates this requirement, allowing users with fewer than 30 sessions or those who have never mined to activate their Pi mainnet wallet.
3) Experience the ecosystem first-hand:
By completing a quick KYC, users who activate their wallets can immediately interact with Pi applications, local e-commerce, and ecosystem activities. This allows new pioneers to integrate into the Pi ecosystem more quickly and provides developers with a broader pool of verified users.
Limitations and Scope:
Fast KYC only covers wallet activation; for mining balance transfers or complete mainnet migrations, users must complete at least 30 mining sessions and fulfill the mainnet checklist, which includes the standard KYC process.
4) Security and local solutions:
Fast KYC is developed using Pi's own infrastructure, reducing reliance on third-party services such as Banxa. It maintains high security standards for the network by providing a secure and reliable alternative. However, due to its automated nature, KYC standards may be stricter, and approval is not guaranteed.
Future Plans:
After monitoring and improvements, the fast KYC can be integrated into the standard KYC process. This will speed up the verification process, reduce the human resource burden on the network, and eliminate access barriers.
5) The vision of Pi:
Pi has over 14.82 million KYC-verified users and is building an accessible and practical digital ecosystem driven by verified users. Rapid KYC supports this vision, accelerating the adoption and testing of ecosystem applications.
6) KYC support for Syria:
Following the termination of the U.S. sanctions program against Syria under Executive Order 14312, the Pi KYC service is now open to eligible users in Syria and complies with all laws and regulations.
