A programmer wrote a Trojan to assist in the theft of 3 million USDT and was sentenced to 4 years in prison with a fine of 20,000.[Coin World] The Shenzhen Futian District Prosecutor's Office has disclosed a virtual money theft case: Programmer Xiao Wang wrote a trojan program for online users, assisting in the intrusion of a company's virtual money account, resulting in the theft of 3 million yuan worth of USDT. After profiting 150,000 coins, Xiao Wang attempted to hide the assets through conversion and diversifying accounts but was ultimately captured by the police. The court found him guilty of theft; after the accomplice confessed and compensated, he was sentenced to four years in prison and fined 20,000 yuan. The prosecutor reminds that technical personnel involved in illegal activities will also bear criminal responsibility.
