Recently, an industry researcher expressed the view that if the share of encryption assets in U.S. 401(k) retirement accounts reaches 1% to 10%, it could bring in a potential inflow of $80 billion to $800 billion. This prediction is based on the current total asset size of 401(k) plans. According to a data platform, as of the second quarter of 2024, the total assets of U.S. 401(k) plans have approached $8 trillion.
