Trump and Zelensky meet, deny discussing ceasefire in Russia-Ukraine conflict.
[Coin World][Trump Denies Discussing Ceasefire with Zelensky] On June 25, U.S. President Trump met with Ukrainian President Zelensky during the NATO summit in The Hague, Netherlands. According to a post by Zelensky on social media, both sides discussed issues such as a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine. However, Trump denied to the media that he discussed the Russia-Ukraine ceasefire with Zelensky, stating that he would have another call with Russian President Putin to see if the war could be ended. In a press conference following the meeting with Zelensky, Trump also mentioned that Ukraine is very eager to obtain the “Patriot” air defense missile system, and the U.S. side will consider whether it can provide it to Ukraine. However, he believes that it may be difficult for Ukraine to obtain the “Patriot” missiles, as the U.S. also needs them.
