The funding fee is meant to balance the prices of contracts and Spot. There are currently too many people shorting.

Young man, don't mess around. I was just thinking it would pump up to chase the spot, entering the contract at 2, and then it was like I bought in at the market price, but it kept falling to 16. I entered the spot around 28.
