On June 8, news came that the Sui ecosystem liquidity platform Cetus officially announced that it will restart today at 9 AM UTC+8. Users will have access to all of Cetus's features, including trading, managing liquidity positions, adding/removing liquidity, and claiming fees and rewards, with the liquidity recovery rate for the affected pools between 85% and 99%. Cetus will allocate 15% of the tokens for contract compensation, with 5% immediately available for claim at the restart, and 10% to be unlocked linearly over 12 months starting from June 10, 2025. The Cetus team stated that it has invested all available cash reserves of approximately 7 million USD and secured a loan of 30 million USDC from the Sui Foundation to support the recovery. Meanwhile, the team is taking legal action in multiple jurisdictions to recover the remaining stolen funds.
