[Pakistan Allocates 2000 MW Power Capacity for Bitcoin Mining] Pakistan has allocated 2000 MW of power generation capacity in the first phase plan to support Bitcoin mining and AI data centers nationwide. The country is currently pushing for the legalization of Crypto Assets and attracting foreign investment. The Pakistani Ministry of Finance stated in a statement that this plan, led by the Pakistan Crypto Assets Committee, will also help monetize surplus energy and create high-tech jobs. The Ministry mentioned that coal-fired power generation projects currently operating at 15% capacity in places like Sahiwal, China Hub, and Port Qasim are expected to be repurposed for this plan.
