According to news from CoinWorld, Paschal Donohoe, the Chairman of the Eurogroup and Ireland's Minister for Finance, stated at the European Anti-Financial Crime Summit that the EU is advancing new Anti-Money Laundering regulations (AMLR), which will require cryptocurrency asset service providers to record information about the sending and receiving parties of transactions to achieve transparent regulation of cryptocurrency transfers. The new rules will take effect in July 2027, prohibiting anonymous wallets and Privacy Coins, and requiring platforms to identify the users using hosted wallets.
