BlackRock plans to launch its $15 billion Treasury Trust fund's DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) shares, which will be sold through BNY Mellon. Although the fund currently does not use blockchain technology or invest in crypto assets, BlackRock aims to leverage blockchain to maintain customer ownership records. The company stated that the future minimum investment threshold for investors will be $30 million, with no further investment restrictions. This product is not yet finalized and will need to undergo review by the SEC. BlackRock CEO Larry Fink previously pointed out that tokenization will fundamentally change the way investments are made and enable more people to participate.
