On June 25, the Korea Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC) announced a fine of KRW 210 million on cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb for violating the cross-border personal information transfer provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act in two business scenarios: order book sharing and virtual asset transfers.
